Cephalopod A cephalopod is a marine mollusk with suckered tentacles and complex eyes. Some have shells while others do not. The most advanced cephalopods are squids, octopuses, and cuttlefish. The Michelinoceras cephalopods, like this one, are characterized by long, slender, nearly cylindrical shells. They lived from the Early Ordovician to the Devonian Periods. Donated by August Foerste |
